What it is?

Auto Eye is a procedural generated material for the iris, done in Cycles, that will make easy to create eyes. With this product you will be able to experiment and create a wide variety of eyes quickly, you don't need to paint every eye from scratch for each new character you create.

Unlimited resolution!

Since Auto Eye uses procedural textures, you don't need to worry about resolution. Your eyes will hold well even for close up cameras.

What you'll get

A complete eye setup, with the sclera, cornea and the Auto Eye material for the iris. The scene come with a basic studio setup, a infinity background and three point lighting configuration.

How to install

Open a new file in Blender go to File>Append then naviage to the auto_eye.blend and click on it. Then go to the NodeTree folder and append the Auto Eye group.


Now, to make it default on the Startup File.

  • In the Outliner, select "Data-Blocks" from the drop-down menu
  • Find the "Node Groups" section
  • Expand the Auto Eye group and check the "Fake User" field
  • Save the file as the start up file
